FAQS ON VEGANISM


ARE HUMANS OMNIVORES?


My question is if humans descended from OMNIVORES (nonetheless carnivores) then surely we would have claws, paws and walk on all fours? Our sharp chiselled canines would easily rip through raw flesh easily killing our prey. Humans urine would be acidic, instead of alkaline, and our digestive system would only be 1 ½ to 3 times our body length.

Unlike these animals, we as humans walk upright, and have prehensile hands. Our mouths are smaller than our carnivore and omnivore counterparts. To explain we have rudimentary blunt canines and flattened molars which make it easier to chew fruit, vegetables. To aid the absorption and assimilation of our food our digestive tract is 25 feet in LENGTH.


Our physiological features are far more similar to frugivorous animals than of carnivorous/omnivorous animals. Even omnivores like bears consume a diet that consists of grasses, roots, berries and insects. They will also eat fish and other mammals but the majority of its diet will come from plants and human foods and garbage,


If out #1 killer is heart disease which primarily is influenced by saturated fat and cholesterol and essentially is 100% preventable then how come we don’t see lions (carnivores) or bears (omnivores) getting heart disease in nature? Quite simply, we get heart disease because we are not consuming our species specific diet!!

BUT CAVEMEN AND OUR ANCESTORS ATE MEAT?


Consuming meat just because your ancestors ate meat means essentially you should live in a cave and have no onside interaction! Regardless of what your ancestors did in the past with less, it is completely unnecessary in our life to live how they lived. Consider now the hordearii, (which means “The Barley Men”). These men owed their peak physical appearance to a predominantly vegan diet of beans and barley. There low fat, carbohydrate rich diet improved their blood flow, supported cardiovascular health, whilst also providing more than enough protein to build powerful physiques.


A vegan diet high in complex carbohydrates is an optimal way to support powerful physique.

World record holders, Patrick Baboumian holding strongmen, Carl Lewis holding Olympic Track Runners, and Scott Gordon Jurek holding ultra-marathon runners, prove to us that a vegan diet does not result in obesity, diabetes, cardiovascular disease, but rather exceptional health, strength and endurance.


 

A VEGAN DIET ISN’T HEALTHY?


A vegan diet low in saturated fats, and a whole food plant based diet has been shown to halt and reverse life threatening conditions such as heart disease (link) to forks and knifes, page on Dr Ken Williams, and diabetes (link) to Physicians Committee page on diabetes. Vegan populations have much lower rates of heart disease, high blood pressure, diabetes, and obesity compared to populations who include dairy and animal proteins.


The Academy of Nutrition and Dietetics Association (link) states that


“An appropriately planned vegan diet are healthful, nutritionally adequate, and may provide health benefits in the prevention and treatment of diseases”

VEGANISM IS EXPENSIVE?


When shopping do you ever realise the cost of eat lately? Beans, pulses, legumes, rice, grains, potatoes, pastas, fruits and vegetables are some of the cheapest foods on the planet. Even vegans who buy the more expensive vegan foods such as imitation eat products can easily spend less than people who load up on beef, chicken and fish. Dairy and meat products not only run up your food bill, but also have a detriment on your longevity and health.



 

WE NEED MILK AND DAIRY PRODUCTS FOR CALCIUM AND STRONG BONES?


The National Dairy Council (insert link) tells us that dairy is safe and healthy, so we can build strong bones, yet there is NO scientific unbiased evidence proving this to be true. Hip fractures, high levels of osteoporosis and elevated in countries who consume dairy products and animal protein.

DAIRY ISN’T A CRUEL INDUSTRY?


Despite the health consequences of consuming dairy, every time we as humans eat or drink products that contain dairy, a baby calf isn’t getting the nourishment it needs. Dairy milk is lactation fluid and the only way to get a mother dairy cow to lactate is to artificially inseminate her (rape her). When a male baby calf is born, it is immediately taken away from his mother, either sold for veal where it is held in a small tiny calf crate. The calf cannot move around so its meat will be tender when consumed by humans. This beautiful baby doe not get to bond with his mother, or take her milk, as the milk is factory produced for human consumption. These innocent babies are fed milk replacer so humans can drink his milk.


There are so many dairy free alternatives out there that provide alkaline protein, calcium, magnesium, totally cruelty free and so healthy for you.
